Are Diablo III Branded Accessories Really Necessary to Be Successful?

The first two Diablo games did not place great importance on evolving tactics or much emphasis on efficient skills on the part of the player. A player's gaming set-up is likely to determine who makes it to the top and who gets dominated in the struggle to save Sanctuary.

Most die-hard players opt for a high-end gaming system built on the foundation of both what is suggested by Blizzard and meets their personal needs. Whether you are an amateur or consider yourself a professional, everybody can gain advantage from using branded Diablo accessories. The main reason for this is that all of the Diablo branded accessories have been developed with suggestions from the game's designers and gamer testers.

Arguably, one of the most suggested accessories is the super mouse that includes seven buttons. This is absolutely necessary for the serious gamer because it can look forward with the laser sensor functioning at an amazingly accurate 5,000 CPI and is guaranteed for 10 million clicks! The mouse may be also be altered for left-handed gamers as well. The soft gripped coating is comfy and enhances efficiency. The cool thing is that the mouse comes with the Diablo III "demon red" logo embossed on the scroll wheel and CPI Indicator. You are also able to customize the logo for illumination and vibration effects.

Blizzard spent a lot of time and money to produce the incredible music and there is nothing that can beat the branded headset to take pleasure in this music to the fullest extent. Music has always been important in Diablo and it truly contributes to the feel of the game. Outlined again with the Diablo logo, the headset is a necessary accessory for anyone wanting to enjoy the game to its fullest. There are also the QcK mouse pads which features a non-slip rubber base to compliment these other great accessories. The mouse pads also have the Diablo III artwork donned upon them.

A number of expert gamers are quick to acknowledge that the proper accessories and best computer systems can strengthen your gaming efficiency immensely. Nevertheless, a lot of players say that they like to acquire the branded accessories but still tweak or modify them to meet their needs. Yet another group of gamers insist that accessories don't have anything to do with gaming performance and that it is actually your gaming skill that matters.

There are many resources available online to help you succeed in Diablo III. Before you spend money on accessories make sure you are well-informed. For more Diablo tips, strategy, news, and more visit http://www.mmo-strategy-guides.com/

Fate Extra Review

Fate Extra, Type-Moon's latest RPG game centered around Japanese Anime -Fate Stay Night. Just like the anime, the video game features an exciting story which is all about masters, servants, Holy Grail, and stellar boss fights that bring the story's central struggles to life. Regrettably, lousy exploration and monotonous fights undermine the adventure. The result is a video game with much more uniqueness than game material and far more plot than actual game play.

Fate Extra's original story encourages you to keep playing regardless of some clichés. After twenty years of harmony on Earth, an alien super-computer concealed on the moon has invited you to battle through a competition for the Holy Grail, computer that grants wishes. The issue is that it's actually a competition to the death. Using your legendary soul - servant that fights in your stead, you have to defeat several other masters in weekly elimination fights to survive. Activities resulting in these battles are extremely fascinating, with each competitor challenging you in various ways. Master-Servant interactions are also enchanting, since you're offered three servants to select from, and each has a different character. Dialogues keep things engaging, motivating plot decisions which affect the game's final.

Fate Extra RPG Elements

Living in this aggressive and ruthless world is tough enough for any participant, but your memory loss (main character has an amnesia) greatly weakens your servant. In order to win your competition, you must level the arena by unveiling the other competitor's skills and strategies within 1 week prior to the fight. This investigation is vital for you to unlock enemy techniques, which usually happens in fascinating ways, for instance, by stealing items, snooping and sparring. Discovering the opponent servant's personality also unveils element of its attack style, which might imply the gap between victory and loss.

Apart from scouting your opponents, you have to investigate, but this feature is drastically reduced for a RPG Game. You're limited to fourteen basic mazes which are a breeze to plow through. Each maze includes dull item retrieve missions. Outside the dungeon, the competition field is limited to a 3 story high school, which is a little bit disappointing if you're planning to investigate a huge world from the actual Anime Fate Stay Night. Fortunately, several mini-bosses prevent investigation from turning into utterly meaningless.

Apart from PC and Console versions of Fate/Extra, there are several RPG Flash Games too. Flash editions of the game are rather fun only. On the bright side, they are available to play or download for free.

Best PC Game In 2012? List Of Most Anticipated Games Set To Release In 2012

2012 will be releasing some highly anticipated games this year. One of the top titles has already launched in early March, that being Mass Effect 3. Here is my list of the top titles to look for once they make their mark in 2012.

Best At The Time Of This Article: Mass Effect 3
I couldn't write this best games list without including an awesome game that has already released. Mass Effect 3 is an amazing accomplishment on Biowares part and it may likely be the last in the series. Lets hope not though. Honorable mention: Alan Wake

Roleplaying: Diablo 3
Diablo 3 may very well be the leader of the pack when it comes to the BIGGEST game set to release in 2012. The long awaited sequel is set to launch on May 15, 2012. The game stirred up some recent controversy when Blizzard announced that their would be no multi-player out of the box, but would be patched at a later date. My humble opinion is that if the box has the word Diablo on it it shouldn't effect sales.

Action: Max Payne 3
Max Payne 3 has risen from the gaming scene in recent months after years of silence about the project. The screenshots have left many people puzzled, including myself, with the protagonist(Max) looking nothing like he did in the first two games.

Strategy: Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm
As expected the next game in the beloved Starcraft series was delayed by Blizzard. Gamers like myself didn't mind mainly because all the attention/pressure is aimed at Diablo 3 at the moment. The game is expected to introduce new units for multiplayer as well as a lengthy campaign specifically designed for the Zerg race.

First Person Shooter: BioShock Infinite
The next game in the Bioshock series is taking a new turn in it's setting. As the original two took place well beneath the earth Infinite takes place well above it. I personally am looking forward to this because I had some harsh opinions about Bioshock 2. Bioshock 2 did not feel like a new game to me despite any of it's differences. It felt short, and looked EXACTLY the same. I can't say I hated it though.

Massive Multiplayer Online(MMO): TERA
Just when you thought The Old Republic buried the production of anymore Fantasy themed MMO's, Tera is coming back into the scene as it comes nearer to release. The game had a strikingly similar resemblance to Aion, but since Aion's plummet in player base many are now looking at Tera to be the new leader out of the Fantasy based MMORPG's. I chose not to give the award to Guild Wars 2 because it is a free to play title.

Best OVERALL: Diablo 3
Blizzard has a big 2012 planned with a new World of Warcraft expansion as well as the new Starcraft II game. But those two games are more expansion-ish titles. With how long this game has been in production, how could Diablo 3 not be the most highly anticipated game of 2012? Let's hope Blizzard poured everything they got into the game. Get ready for mayhem come May 15th.

There you have it. My list of the top titles set to release in 2012. There are many other great titles being released this year but chose not to list the games that are only speculation. You may want to upgrade your pc hardware for a lot of these games, namely Max Payne 3 and TERA and even Diablo 3. Solid State Drives work wonders in MMO's. Tech deals are pretty much everywhere throughout the web.

I hope I gave you some insight on what to expect from 2012's most highly anticipated games for PC.

Diving Into Video Keyboards With the Logitech G19

While there have been many changes to gaming keyboards in recent years, the Logitech G19 has upped the ante by including a full-color tilting LCD display. Following the popularity and success of the G15v1 and G15v2 releases, the Logitech G19 has some big shoes to fill as it intended to be the premiere gaming keyboard in the Logitech G line up.

By adding a full color LCD to the keyboard, the Logitech G19 claims you can view a variety of information and even watch videos without having to minimize your game window. They also claim superior responsiveness when pressing multiple keys and the 12 included macro keys will allow quicker response times and better gaming performance. I decided to put this keyboard through its paces and see how it compared to its predecessors and its competition.

One of the first things that I noticed about the Logitech G19 was that it required an AC adapter to power the LCD Display and dual USB 2.0 ports. After a quick installation of drivers, it was time to test out the LCD display. There is a variety of plug-ins available for the Logitech G19 offering features such as a clock, system performance stats and YouTube or local video playback. While I suppose these things could be useful to kill time or check RAM and processor usage, I was not entirely sure they justified the price of the keyboard.

I decided to fire up World of Warcraft and see what the keyboard had to offer. Having the ability to plug my USB headset into the keyboard gave me more room to move around and the built-in hub on the Logitech G19 seemed to have no problem keeping up with both the headset and any keyboard inputs. Anytime anyone talked on Ventrilo, his or her name appeared in the LCD screen. When no one was talking, a simple stat display showed up for my character. While these details were nice, I found myself using the media player integration on the Logitech G19 most often.

While the keys on the Logitech G19 felt a little soft, they were very responsive. The adjustable backlighting on the keyboard was bright and, after a little tweaking, I found a color I preferred. I have seen brighter backlights, they are by no means dim. The standard parts of the Logitech G19 are of average size. I had no troubles with hitting the wrong keys due to spacing or key arrangement. The media controls were responsive and the macro keys were easy to set and page through for using common spells and commands. I did find myself wishing I could switch the macro keys to the right side of the keyboard however. It would have been easier to release the mouse and hit the macro keys than remove my hands from my movement keys.

The Logitech G19 certainly offers extended functions for MMO and FPS games, however most of that utility lies in the macro keys. While the LCD display is certainly flashy and cool, the people who will get the most benefit from it are people that like to play movies or music while gaming. While the Logitech G19 comes with an increased price tag, it offers increased functionality that no other keyboards currently can touch.

Don't think this gaming keyboard fits your style?

Take a look at this Logitech G11 if you are unsure.

That gaming keyboard is comparable to this Logitech G19 keyboard and it might be the one you like.

James Noir's Hollywood Crimes

I got my Nintendo 3DS at the beginning of the year, along with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This is my favorite game of all time and, I'll admit, the only reason I traded in my DSi for the 3DS was to play Ocarina again. While I love Ocarina, it's also a huge commitment. It takes dedication, and then there are all the little side quests you can do. Then once you've completed the game you get to play the "Master Quest" version. Needless to say, I got my sword and shield at the beginning of the game and.... That's as far as I got. I wasn't prepared to dive into a game that I knew would consume my life for the next several weeks. So I began my own real life quest to find a decent 3DS game that I could pick up, play for an hour or so, and then tuck away without going into withdrawal. That game was James Noir's Hollywood Crimes.

You are a contestant in an early 1960s game show in which you compete to solve puzzles. The first week your competitor plays the game and sees how many points he can score by solving puzzles of varying difficulty. The harder the puzzles, the more points you can earn. You get to play during the second week to try to top his score, or at least garner enough points to move onto the next round. Oh, and there's a serial killer on the loose killing former contestants and you're helping the FBI solve puzzles left at the crime scenes. Everyone involved with the show is a suspect. Heck, you're even a suspect even though you're trying to help catch the murderer. Who is the killer, and will you beat your competitor to claim the top prize? Or will you die trying?

Okay, the drama here isn't exactly riveting, but more like when a sitcom tries for a heartfelt episode when the family pet dies or something. There are two reasons to play this game: the puzzles and the graphics. If you're a fan of the Professor Layton series for the DS, this may be up your alley. Granted, the Professor Layton puzzles can be a bit more difficult and offer more variety, the Hollywood puzzles can be enjoyable, if not predictable after a while. Oh gee, another puzzle where I have to slide puzzle pieces around to move one particular piece into a highlighted spot? The fun never ends! But seriously, the puzzles aren't half-bad - just don't expect a huge variety.

This is only the second 3DS game I've played, but I must say that I was very happy with the graphics. Real actors are used in the video game so it plays out almost like a movie. When they talk, their mouths move, but their words (if you can call them words) don't match the audio. It's as if you were watching a dubbed foreign film. The style is definitely 1960s from the clothes, the hairstyles, and even the opening credits of the fake game show. The 3D effects aren't as impressive as, say, Ocarina, but they were decent enough.

Although James Noir's Hollywood Crimes is worth a go-around and I've enjoyed playing it, it's not a keeper. Besides the puzzles being repetitive, there are also loads of typos throughout the game and the game itself is pretty short (you could probably knock it out in five to six hours). Sure, you could play it again to solve all the puzzles you passed up during the first run-through, but after that you're going to want to trade it in (at Slackers, of course) for something different.

How to Make Good Use of Taxi Games

PC gaming is as old as the PC invention itself. Many people spend lots of time playing games on their PC. In response to this need, more and more programmers are developing sophisticated games for persons interested in playing. Among the games that have emerged strongly as favourites are the taxi games. The games come in a vast array and players will always find an option that excites them.

Unlike the regularly played games, these games are non-repetitive and hence challenging. Players have an option to progress and unlock newer levels as they beat the set marks. The prospect of making a new record or opening a new level of game play often makes the game addictive. So, how is the game played? One may be tempted to ask. Well, it is just as simple as illustrated below:

1. The player moves around the city in search of passengers. This quite interesting and one may have to read a directional map and also display good driving skills. These are necessary if one is to successfully navigate through the city and get passengers on time. In some instances, the passengers appeared on a timed basis and any delays once signalled can cause one to lose a prospect passenger.

2. Once the player has picked up a passenger, he/she is supposed to drive very fast and deliver the passenger to the instructed destination. Delays can make the passenger to be late and hence result into loss of points. The destinations are displayed on a map and hence one should have map reading skills as well as ability to navigate through the city at a fast pace.

3. Navigation is often achieved using the arrow keys. The same keys offer acceleration and as such help in keeping at pace with other cars and taxis. To stop, one should press the space bar.

4. It is also important that one avoids hitting other cars or buildings and hence avoid unnecessary damages. Excessive damages can cost one to lose the game. It is therefore important that for as much as speed is important; it should be done careful to ensure that unnecessary collisions are avoided.

Generally, just like car racing games, taxi games require driving skills, as well as control ability. Additionally one should be able to use the maps to navigate through the city, take the shortest distance and hence achieve success in the game. These basics can help you enjoy the taxi games to the maximum.

We provide the best info about taxi games.

GTA 4 For Pleasure, Saints Row 2 For Leisure

Grand Theft Auto 4, when released in 2009, created a hysteria among fans and critics alike; astonishing sales culminated in two expansion packs plus universal acclaim created records on Meta critic site, with professional reviewers commending its cinematic quality and serious gameplay and forgiving minor cover system issues. New features like mobile phones, cab system, and plot decisions given to players were hailed for their inventiveness by all. But after a few months of its release, gamers voiced their dissatisfaction at the game's exhaustive nature; upon completion of the core game and some mini-games, all that was left was shooting pigeons, an onerous job since these animated birds were located in nooks and corners of high-rise buildings, shopping establishments and industrial sites. While it was fun to massacre people since they poured gallons of blood and also gave realistic reactions, that too got monotonous. It was ingenious of Rock-star to introduce two expansions (I haven't played those) to extend the game's legacy.

After sometime came in Saints Row 2, an explosive game that offered tremendous fun to gamers and was mainly hailed by critics and viewers alike for its longevity- the game was not a breakthrough by take Two but a better follow-up to its predecessor. There were some grouches who condemned its vulgarity and perversion but most felt it was a delicious alternative to Grand Theft Auto 4. The game has you as the member of the Saints, members of the underworld that ruled the city once but were dethroned by rival groups and Ultor magnates, who fights his way back to the top by executing rival group members and capturing their territories. But these are so many diversions and activities that come along that it makes the game huge in scope; insurance fraud, trail-blazing, fighting, VIP bouncers, ho-ing, etc... You name it, it's there!

It's been almost 2 years since their release but the games have cast an effect, mainly Grand Theft Auto 4, which resulted in many game developers focusing on core storyline, graphics and the 'Surprise Me!' rather than the typical 'fun' which one usually expects. Uncharted 3, Red Dead Redemption, Heavy Rain etc are some examples. Saints Row developers have remained unchanged though; they still opt for ridiculous fun. And what do we, as gamers want? A groundbreaking product or an entertaining product?

I am currently playing Saints Row 2 - it knows it is flawed; the graphics, though competent, are unsteady, the characters lack depth, most of the missions involve excessive shooting, the cell-phone in the game is thoroughly useless, some vehicles are painful to ride, some activities get repetitive etc. And even though I just played the game a while ago, I can't recollect my character's name. But I think the game was made for the commoners, the people who don't scrutinise everything but just want something that addicts them. That's why people loved movies like Fast and the Furious (haven't seen it), Final Destination (hated it); they entertain without causing much impact. Saints Row 2 is not common, in fact, it is a great game but it was made keeping in mind the needs of common gamers. And the formula worked well.

Grand Theft Auto 4, Uncharted 3, Red Dead Redemption, L.A.Noire and Heavy Rain are monster games - like Daniel Day-Lewis, they don't come very often, but when they do, boy they take the world by a storm. The difficulty in these games is quite low, unless one plays Uncharted 3 on crushing mode, and the games, with the exception of Grand Theft Auto -4 and Uncharted 3, take not much time to complete. Also, the games start slow, with easy missions - Heavy Rain actually begins with you helping the character dress up for work, Red Dead Redemption has you tend the farm. But they are a class apart the rest because they take you through the journey of the character without adding superfluous excess that digress from the main plot of the game. Roger Ebert may retract his statement that "Video games can never be art" if he plays games like these.

What do gamers support - groundbreaking, inventive games that redefine standards of gameplay or simply entertaining games with high replay value?

Fruit Slice Game - Slice Your Way to Fun

For those of you in the know, then you would be well-aware of the fact that the Android Market, now known as Google Play has always played second fiddle to Apple's App Store when it comes to the games department. Sure, there are some free gems such as the Angry Birds Series but these games require some very high-end android devices and they were originally released for Apple's iPhones and iPads in the first place. This is why the Fruit Slice game is such a rare find on Google Play. Not only is it a good game, but it also features some eye-popping graphics that rival that of the PSP's. Of course, the best part of the Fruit Slice game on Android is that it is completely free. The game is ad-supported so you will see a small, rectangular banner at the top of your screen whenever your Android phone or tablet is connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot, but the ads do not really get in the way of your gaming. This is because the publishers had the foresight and common sense not to include the ads in the actual gameplay window. The ads only appear while you are still in the main menu screen.

One of the downsides to gaming on the Android platform is that the games which are actually any fun are usually online-only multiplayer titles or games with ridiculously high system requirements that will only play on high-end Android devices. Fortunately, the Fruit Slice game is once again the exception to the general rule. Despite the respectable graphics and the smooth framerate of this particular Android title, Fruit Slice on Android can actually run well on even entry-level Android Phones such as the Xperia X6 and the older Ideos phones that have clock speeds of 528 Mhz.

The Fruit Slice game has four modes of play, namely: Classic, Pipeline, Time and One-shot. Classic mode is the most complex of the four available game modes. In classic mode, you have to slice all the fruits that are thrown at you from below with finger swipes. You are allowed only three misses, after which, it's game over. It doesn't end there however. There are also "bombs" which are fruit-shaped, bomb-like objects that get mixed in with the fruits every now and then. You have to avoid touching these bombs at all costs because touching even one of them results in an instant game over no matter how many lives you still have left. In Time Mode, you are given 1:30 minutes to slice as many fruits as you can. Casual gamers will probably enjoy this mode the most since you do not have to worry about missing any fruits or slicing the dreaded fruit bomb.

No matter how well or how bad you play, the game ends once the clock runs out. If you want to get a high score however, especially in the online leaderboard called "Rock 24H," then you will need to understand how the Time Mode in Fruit Slice works. The last mode, "One Shot" is pretty similar to Pipeline but the difference is that instead of slicing the fruits in a specific order, you are required to slice all the fruits that appear on-screen with a single swipe all the time. Fruit Slice game on Android is a fun little diversion that will deliver hours of fun for the hardcore as well as the casual crowd alike. Give it a try if you have an Android OS device handy.

Mother Nature Review

Mother Nature just arrived from Big Fish Game's arsenal of strategy games so I thought I would go at it with a review of my own. And if you do not know Mother Nature yet, basically it is just a strategy game featuring a fairy with a green thumb. You plant stuff, you pull out the weeds and if there is garbage, you get to clean it too. In other words, all the excitement you can get from gardening. And in case you did feel true enthusiasm from that last sentence, I suggest you read on with the rest of this review.

You play as Autumn, a fairy with fairy friends that need rescuing. Of course, being the sole fairy spared by the Spirit of Gloom, you are tasked to kill all the plants that the evil spirit has left. Let us call these plants evil weeds from now on. And the way to kill evil weeds is by planting good seeds close to them. The flowers that grow from the planted seeds will eventually kill the evil weeds so that you are free to pull them off the ground. Keep watering your flowers and cleaning garbage and you already have a grip on all of the game's mechanics.

If you read the last paragraph above, you may already have guessed my verdict on Mother Nature. Game play is too repetitive and there is not much challenge on each level even though it is tagged as a "strategy" game. There is very little to no strategy involved at all. This is more of a child's game, but I am afraid even seasoned children players might find this game as too boring to play. Coupled that with the annoying background sound and you are left with a game that you would not enjoy for long.

On a positive note though, Mother Nature do have cute and colorful characters and graphics. Click response is good enough and the mechanics are very easy to follow and guess as you go along the game, mainly due to the failure of a guide they call a tutorial.

In summary, I suggest you skip downloading this game or download only for trial purposes since it is free anyway. There are plenty more strategy games that is worth your time and money since they do have "strategy" involved, because in my honest opinion, this game is not it.

Information on the Gaming Mouse

The gaming mouse is an innovation to the world of computer gaming. Rather than be burdened with a standard computer mouse with 2 buttons, the gaming mouse brings more to the table then the standard mouse can handle. Gaming mice are being constantly innovated with new or improved features. Manufactures are tempering their products to be more advantageous for the user. This hardware allows users to become more precise, utilize more buttons, and become a dominating force in the world of online gaming.

Gaming mice implement the use of optical technology to track the mouse's movement on the ground. With that feature comes the ability for the mouse to track DPI (dots per inch). A mouse that tracks 2000 DPI has a smoother tracking then one with 800. This leads to improved cursor placement. This is great addition to gaming. Another great specification to the gaming mouse is the use of additional buttons in contrast to the standard computer mouse. Gaming mice are known for their additional buttons. These buttons grant the user to deduct some of the keyboard's work load, and place it on the mouse. With the use of mouse key binding the additional mouse keys maybe used for other actions in game. These functions can be set to a whole range of actions, maybe the reloading a weapon or the casting a spell. Gaming mice can contain from 3 to over 10 additional buttons. Certain gaming mice have the option of changing the weight of the mouse by use of additional weights. This is an excellent feature that allows the user to customize his mouse to his preference. Storage for the additional weight is reserved for the user. The User can add weights of measurements and amounts into the mouse. The feature creates a specified resistance for the mouse to create. This leads to improved precision for the user since it is communes with their style and control. If a user has a heavier mouse preference, and is using a lighter mouse the resistance from the mouse will promote over extension of the mouse. Certain gaming mice have the ability to change shape. The user is given the option of altering the length or the width of the mouse. Mouse users who prefer to have the mouse act as a supporter for the palm of their hand may choose to increase the length of the mouse in order to do so, and the same applies to the width.

Mice have been issued the ability to go wireless. This is usually seen as more of a comfort option rather than response efficiency. Wired mice have better response time then a wireless mouse. Since data must be sent from the mouse to the receiver this process delays response time rather than a direct link. Wired mice are not prone to external interference from other devices. Signal interference can be created by other wireless mice in the area of the receiver jamming or sending mixed signals to the computer. This can be frustrating in situations that need immediate response and action. Wired mice are also great since they do not have the opportunity to lose battery power while in use. Wireless mice are equipped with chargeable or non-chargeable batteries both which have a limited lifespan. Nothing is worse than losing control in a game, while having to replace dead batteries.

How to Choose the Best Artisan in Diablo III

Your weapons are going to be your best friends in the bleak, deep, and hazardous world of Diablo III. You might decide to go empty-handed and perish thousands of miles under ground, or decide on the appropriate weapons and help save the world.

Artisans are individuals who will construct and fix the weapons you utilize to eradicate the Armies of Hell in Diablo III. There are actually three artisans: Mystic, Jeweler, and Blacksmith. The following is a brief overview of how each one the artisans can assist you.

Blacksmith Haedrig Eamon is obviously great with metal and heat. He is able to create weapons, shields, helms, belts, suits of armor, and a variety of paraphernalia for you. Haedrig is also very good at repairing the items you are outfitted with. He could also take good care of the items in your inventory by reestablishing their full strength. Needless to say, he charges gold related to the level of difficulty.

Jeweler Covetous Shen also has learned his occupation perfectly. He is the expert of gem craft. He is able to use gems of even low quality for fantastic results. Provide gems to Shen for outstanding etching of sockets into pants, belts, helms, and shields. He is able to create any piece of equipment advantage from the power of gems. Shen is also prepared to assist you with removing gems if the need arises.

Mystic Myriam Jahzia has the ability to add magic to any of your items. Because she is a mystic she is able to foresee the future. However, there is much more to her powers. She could possibly be your last call of defense. Myriam may convert a weapon or piece of armor into a magical one increasing its durability, quickness, and strength. She may also cast a magic spell on any item so that it restores your health. You are able to seek out her support for items in your inventory or for the weapons you happen to be carrying. Myriam can easily see into the future yet she might not always let you know precisely what is going to happen. Nevertheless, with the support of her powers she will ascertain what could well be the most effective weapons for the future. Shank 2 Reviewed

Published By: Electronic Arts, Developer: Klei Entertainment, Genre: Action, Release Date: Feb 8, 2012, Rating: M, Systems: PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360.

Shank 2 is a 2D beat 'em up arcade downloadable game. It pays homage of sorts to movies I grew up watching during the 80's like Commando, Rambo and Missing in Action. Shank 2 is a bro-man game starring the duel wielding shank man, Shank! I was able to play through Shank 2 for free (its free for PlayStation Plus members at the moment). When analyzing Shank 2's presentation there is more bad than good clearly. I'll discus everything during this review so keep reading. I'll start with the menus on the title screen which includes: Campaign Mode, Survival Mode, Rebel Intel, Leaderboard, Player Stats and Help & Options. No problem navigating in Shank 2, everything is laid out in a nice ergonomic fashion.

Robert "Shank" Torres is the protagonist and ex mob hitman. Shank 2 is a story about redemption regarding Shank. He takes down a corrupted President Magnus while rescuing Elena (his mother figure). Working along side with Resistance leader Corina Shank takes down the corrupt Cartel. As far as the overall story goes it was cheesy and cliche. It was never interesting because it seems like every villain and bad guy in the game was copied from either a movie I saw or a video game I have played. It was suppose to be funny however the bad gameplay and controls kept me from laughing during my entire playthrough.

Visually Shank 2 gets a high score. The art style and animations just exude a visceral and compelling atmosphere. Shank rampages through South American villiges, resorts, ruined temples and swamps. The textures and colors pop out of the screen and every setting was rendered wonderfully. The animations makes Shank appear like a real badass reminding me of heroes like Rambo.

Shank 2 is a 2D beat 'em up that features gunplay, grenade lobbing, pouncing and grabbing enemies. There are different types of weapons that work differently in effectiveness regarding certain enemies. You have Heavy Weapons like the Chainsaw, Machete and Sledgehammer. Ranged Weapons include Throwing Knives, Pistols and a Shotgun. Munitions include Grenades, Molotovs and Mines. The latter is part of the problem. The game's controls and structure makes it near too impossible to use all weapons and items on the different enemies effectively at any given moment. The gameplay became cluttered up and by the time I tried to throw my grenade or use my heavy weapon to break a grunt's shield I was dead.

The single player campaign was ridiculously short to say the least. But lucky for me was the fact that this game has multiplayer (online and off). Its called Survival Mode and is clearly the best thing Shank 2 has going for it. The menu screen for Survival Mode featured: Local Match, Online Match, Invite A Friend, View Invitations and How to Survive. The last option shows a voiced video tutorial for Survival Mode. Survival Mode is a wave type game ala Horde mode via Gears of war 3. Shank 2 is 2D so things are different obviously. Your goal along with another player is to defend supply stations around the map. Bombers are grunts that target your supply stations and blows them up.

I rarely tell gamers to buy a game based on multiplayer. For Shank 2 I have no choice since the single player campaign was ridiculously short and problematic from a gameplay and control perspective.

5/10

The Best Fairy Games For Girls

It is no surprise that little girls are absolutely crazy about fairy games. It is really tough to find a little girl that does not enjoy almost anything to do with fairies. This is what makes it such an easy choice to play fairy games at any kind of together for young girls. There are many fairy games to choose from, but it makes sense to play the most popular ones. Here are the best fairy games for girls.

Pin the Wings on the Fairy

This game is a fanciful take on the tradition Pin the Tail on the Donkey party game. Draw a fairy on a large piece of cardboard, poster board or butcher paper. It will obviously need to be a rear view of the fairy, since the girls will be trying to pin the fairy wings on it. The fairy wings should be covered in glitter. Remember that glitter is the fairy dust that puts the wonder in fairy games for girls. Use double-sided tape, or fold masking tape in on itself. Blindfold the girls with a very fairy-like scarf and spin them around three times before letting the try to pin the wings on the fairy.

Fairy Treasure Hunt

This game is always a big hit at parties for girls. The parent hides clues all over the house for the girls to find. Each clue takes the girls one step closer to a fairy treasure chest. The clues are the most fun if they require the girls to solve a riddle or answer a question. Try to keep the number of clues under ten in order to ensure that the girls don't get bored before they get their reward. The fairy treasure chest should be loaded up with all sorts of fairy dress-up gear. Lots of fairy wings, wands, flowers and glitter should be included. It is also a good idea to put some kind of sweet treat in the fairy treasure chest.

Fairy Telephone Game

This is the fairy version of the popular children's game of Telephone. The girls sit in a circle and the birthday girl or a parent whispers a secret message about fairies to another girl. The girls all whisper the message to the next girl, and by the time the message goes all the way around the circle it has been completely transformed. The result is usually something hilarious.

Fairy Dress Up Dash

Each girl gets a pile of fairy dress up clothes. Each girl races to see who can put all the dress up clothes on the quickest. This game can be played in two teams or individually. The winning girl or team should receive a plate of fairy cookies.

Affliction Warlock PvP Guide

An affliction warlock should stay in the background and DoT absolutely everything wherever he is. It doesn't matter where he is, in Arenas, Battlegrounds, Duels or just somewhere in the world PvPing. Your "thing" is to keep as many dots up on as many as possible at the same time. Aff locks shouldn't play with classes that depend on CCs that break when taking damage. Well, there are exceptions. But you want to always be able to DoT everything. RLS, short for Rogue, Affliction Warlock and Restoration Shaman is a great setup for the warlock. Stuns, DoTs, Fears and Hex's go very well together.

So we've so far established that your first priority is DoTs. The second is fearing, and thirdly draining. When you are being locked down and nuked, you should go from using Fel Armor to Demon Armor and begin using Drain Life a lot, while making sure that Haunt is always up on the target. If you face a melee cleave, save your Howl of Terror for when they nuke you or when a team mate is in a critical situation. If you face a spell cleave, you can use it to instantly lock down a caster or healer when you see it appropriate.

You should have a macro for Spell Lock with your Felguard. This macro should look something like /cast [target=focus] Spell Lock

You should always have your fel guard attacking the enemy teams healer, whenever you have managed to get someone on the opponent's team to low HP, use the Spell Lock focus macro on the healer as he casts a major heal onto the low target.

You should save your Death Coil for critical situations if you see that the opponent team is able to deal too much damage. If they aren't dealing too much damage though, you can use it as a CC on the enemy healer and then follow it up with a Fear. That's a great way to put some serious pressure onto a target while locking down their healer.

Try to make sure to put your portal at a place outside of the opponent's line of sight. It could be behind a pillar on your teams side in the Arena, for example. You want to use it only when you have no means of escaping, when you are being nuked and predict that you will take a lot of damage in short time.

Madden 13 Preview

We recently had a chance to get our hands on a playable version of Madden 13 and it looks like we'll have an all new learning curve on offense this August when the game ships. We're already past the gratuitous "presentation" portion of EA SPORTS' marketing campaign and into the grittiest of the nitty when it comes to Madden 13: gameplay. There's plenty to talk about after our session with the game but here we want to focus on pass timing and flight path.

You'll have to bear with us because we tend to ignore the fancy names given to new Madden 13 features. What they call Total Control Passing, for example, we'll just refer to generically as the new touch passing system. Trust us, it can get quite confusing trying to keep track of all those new marketing-driven phrases every year so it's better if we just look at what they actually do rather than what they're called.

Timing is going to be everything in Madden 13's passing game. After the snap you, as the quarterback, have to be aware of the fact that your receivers will be looking for the ball only at certain points during a play. On an in-route, the receiver won't be looking for the ball until after he makes his break; on deep routes, the player won't be looking for the ball until he gets a certain number of yards down field. This didn't seem like that big a deal on paper but when we saw how Madden 13 is implementing this system, our reaction was mixed. When we say a player isn't looking, we mean that literally now. Offensive and defensive players actually have to look at the football in the air before they can make a play on it. If the receiver on the in-route doesn't look up for the ball after he makes his cut, it's highly unlikely he makes the catch. Obviously this is where a receiver's AWR and CTH rating will play a part. This doesn't mean that you can't throw the ball early on a timing route, like a curl, knowing that the receiver will be looking for the ball immediately coming out of his break. That will definitely work. Our cause for concern comes from the fact that you may not see the passing icon over the receiver's head until the timing for the pass is right. That is, your X receiver on a fly route won't have that 'X' over his head until he's at a point in his route where you're supposed to deliver the ball. This disappearing/reappearing icon will likely be optional when the final game ships, but for now it definitely takes some getting used to.

We ran with the Oakland Raiders (our favorite team) to see how Carson Palmer's arm and Oakland's speedy weapons would function in the new passing system. The timing system was apparent on a screen pass to the underrated Marcel Reece. The whole point of running a screen to the fullback is that no defense is ever going to commit more than one player to watching the fullback. Thus when we snapped the ball and didn't see the "LB" icon over Reece's head, there was a moment of brief panic. You can still throw the ball to a receiver who doesn't have the icon over his head, but we nonetheless thought we'd called the wrong play or something had gone wrong when Reece's icon didn't come up. A split second later when we hit the "LB" button to deliver the ball anyway, Reece broke off his route and headed upfield rather than drifting toward the sideline like the playart shows. Now Reece made the catch, but because the timing of the play was thrown off by our early pass attempt, the blocking didn't get a chance to set up and he only gained two yards. Yes it's only one play, but it clearly illustrates the importance of timing in Madden 13 and it does it using a screen pass; the ultimate timing play. The takeaway here is that the disappearing icons are meant to simulate the reads and decision making quarterbacks have to make during a play. It seems to be implemented fairly well but we'll need much more time with the game (which we'll get) to really see how far this new timing system goes toward accurately representing NFL football.

Hand-in-hand with the new timing system is the new ball flight trajectory and precision passing system. We're now given more control over where the ball goes and how it gets there. The distance between the quarterback and the receiver will determine what kind of power you can put on the pass. No more rifling short passes six yards downfield or inadvertently throwing a "moonball" out of bounds. Tapping or mashing a passing button will determine what kind of touch you're putting on the pass but there are limits to how fast and how high the ball will travel through the air. We had a difficult timing separating the effects of the precision passing system from the flight trajectory system. In theory, you're supposed to be able to use the left stick to lead a receiver with your pass and do it better than we've seen in previous editions of Madden NFL. For years, holding up or down on the left stick as you press the pass button would throw the ball high (so your man can outleap the defense) or low (so you can pick apart a zone with precision). Aiming left or right while passing didn't have a dramatic effect, really. Now, in Madden 13, all of those directions on a pass will cause your quarterback to throw the ball ahead of, behind, deeper or more shallow than the receiver's current route....sort of. As best as we can tell, the same left stick controls during passing will also still throw the ball high or low. So of course we tried all sorts of variations of passes intended to illustrate for us just what does what. For example on a broken play, we always want the receiver to break deep down the field so we can throw a high touch pass over the defender and make a big play out of something. In past Madden's this is very difficult. In Madden 13, in theory, it should be easier with all of the new passing control changes. What we ended up with was a lot of incompletions and interceptions. In our session with Madden 13, we couldn't get an understanding of how to at least attempt creative passes regularly. Whether it's user error, incomplete design or simply a rough early build of the game that's to blame, we'll be digging into this in later sessions.

So that's an early taste of Madden 13. The passing game looks promising as long as the new features are implemented in a way that's not obstructive. The super linebackers are gone, replaced with your decisions to throw high or low and with velocity. That's a good thing. There should be more to come with Madden 13 so keep it on spinmovr because we plan to tell you all about it.

Mahjong: Then and Now

What is Mahjong? Well, many must be familiar with this term. Every game-loving person would certainly know what exactly it is. It is nothing, but a game that originated in China. Sometimes, it also gets classified in the domino games' category. If you are four in number, and getting bored, you can surely play this game at any of the online gaming sites. The table game should bear no resemblance with the newly invented solitaire type, which is a tile matching single player game played in PC. This Chinese game is similar to rummy, a card game; it requires extreme skill, calculation and strategy. In Asia, this game is given the name "gambling game."

Mahjong tile game consists of 136 tiles having Chinese symbols and characters. However, the number of tiles may vary according to regions. In general, the game starts by giving every player 13 tiles. In return, the players draw as well as discard tiles, unless a legal hand is completed. Are you wondering what a legal hand is? A legal hand is nothing, but a winning hand comprising of 14 tiles; this can be achieved either by picking it from the wall (win from the wall), or by stealing it while a player has discarded a tile that was needed for completing a legal hand (win by a discard). It is with the 14th won tile with which the player forms melds (4 groups) and head (a pair).

Today, Mahjong's characteristics of players and popularity differ globally; it is more popular in the Asian countries compared to western countries. The popularity of Mahjong is evident from the proven fact in 2010, that it is the most populous table game played in Japan. Many devotees of this tile game feel that its popularity is decreasing day by day, and efforts are being taken for reviving it. The fact that this game's culture has its root in China can never be forgotten. Even today, many Hong Kong movies portray this game in certain scenes.

We should never ignore the research, which states that Mahjong causes epileptic seizures if played for a prolonged period of time, similar to various other games, including, chess, card games, checkers and Mastermind. However, there are just 23 cases reported in the medical literature, which were caused by playing this game. This is not an exclusion criterion for playing this wonderful game. People prefer this game, whether it was in the past or present. It was popular both then, and now.

Black Ops 2 Multiplayer

Black Ops 2 Multiplayer tops the list when it comes to most enchanting online games. The best thing about this game is the ability of the player to customize the game according to his taste. A player can have customized guns by addition of logos, make alterations to the color as well as shape of the "red dot sights" of his or her guns.

In Black Ops 2 Multiplayer a player can make each gun his or her own gun. It simply makes the game all the more fun and the player does indeed feel in charge of the game. Black Ops 2 Multiplayer also utilizes a system of currency. A player can earn money primarily by playing the matches, completing the contracts and can also be rewarded for his or her achievements. A player can then utilize this money to purchase his or her weapons of choice.

Revealing basic instincts of Black Ops 2 Multiplayer
The game of Black Ops 2 Multiplayer introduces many novel awards of kill streak. The best is however gunship. The player gets a first person's view of the cockpit. The player or the fighter in this case can fly around the battlefield and fire away both with his machine gun as well as missiles until one's time expires or a player is shot down.

This is just one of the several streak rewards of new kill in Black Ops 2 Multiplayer. This game offers care packages which possess a chance to release special weapons that cannot achieved by any other means. Few examples of these special weapons are the novel death machine. This is a massive machine gun that carries on shooting an endless bullet stream. Another other example is Grim Reaper which is a four slotted missile launcher that is enriched with 16 rockets for complete ammunition.

The downside of this game is that once a player dies then he or she loses them and cannot be picked by any other player. Also, if one of these special weapons are chosen for combat, they cannot be switched for others, unless they are used up to maximum capacity.

All about Black Ops 2 Multiplayer
Although the Black Ops 2 Multiplayer was a much awaited game, it has had mixed reviews. Players feel that the game has gotten way too mainstream and has adopted the cookie cutter approach rather than presenting players with an original challenge that they were waiting for. Each aspect of this game is not as competitive as Modern Warfare 2 in terms of control and feel.

Players who have been following this game have complained about the fact that though there seems to be much more emphasis on hardcore, Black Ops 2 Multiplayer is limiting in its approach. For instance there are no grenade launchers and only one rocket launcher that is vehicle guided is now permitted. Besides, the respwan timings for most modes have been decreased. Also a shot in the feet will no longer kill an opponent, and one has to aim for the chest or the head. Because of these limitations, players feel that the Black Ops 2 Multiplayer just does not live up to the expectations.
