Get Your Money's Worth at Game Stores

If you are one for playing video games on the latest Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo platforms or even keen on buying one on PC format now and then but notice that buying the brand new releases can be more expensive, sometimes around £40 to £50 for the most popular! This quick three-step guide should help save you some money on your next and future purchases.
This easy technique should work every time for the frequent gamer.
What you will need.
1. A Game Reward Card - These are only £3 and can be bought at any Game store or online.
2. A Game Exchange Bag - Most Game stores will have these at the tills, they are free.
3. Some Money.
And that is it!
Step one.
To begin, it will be helpful if you have any unwanted games ready to trade-in as this will decrease the cost of the pricey new release. If you have some to trade-in make sure you pop them into your Game exchange bag, you will receive an extra £1 for each game traded this way. The trade-in value when spent in Game is also more than you would get if you were trading in for cash. If you do not have any to trade-in do not worry, you can still start saving money if you are a frequent purchaser.
Step Two.
Once you have a new release in your sights (let's say, worth £40), go to the till and hand them your trade-ins (if you had any). They will tell you the value of your games. Usually new releases can fetch you a trade-in value of £20 to £25!
You can now hand them your Game reward card to collect your points and complete the transaction.
Step Three.
Now if you did not have any games to trade-in and you have just purchased the new release for full price, that is a good start. Funny as it may sound but you would have still got 400 game points for your purchase (you collect ten points for every £1 you spend in store or online, 1000 points is worth £2.50 off in store). Also look out for special offers which can earn you extra points. This may not sound like much but when you go back to trade-in your newly purchased game you should get around £20 to £25 for it, plus £1 if you have a Game exchange bag. So in total you will only pay around £15 to £20 for future new releases and still earn 400 points given that the price of the game was £40.
Each 2-3 new releases you purchase you will get an extra £2.50 off as you should hit the 1000 point mark. From a personal point of view, this has proven to be a great way to save some money.
Happy gaming to you all.
